In a remarkable show of compassion and commitment to humanity, Hon. Abdulhameed Salawu, fondly known as Dullar, the immediate past Chairman of Somolu Local Government in Lagos State, has once again demonstrated his unwavering dedication to uplifting lives, this time beyond his home state.

Hon. Salawu successfully facilitated and supervised the RT. HON. (DR.) James Abiodun Faleke Empowerment Programme tagged “Provision of Empowerment Items for the Poor People and Less Privileged to Enhance Standard of Living in Kogi State.” The initiative brought smiles to numerous households across Ebira land, as beneficiaries received vital empowerment tools aimed at promoting self-reliance and improving their standard of living.

Items distributed at the event included motorbikes, sewing machines, refrigerators, vulcanizer pumping machines, generators, and a cash support of ₦50,000 to each beneficiary. The gesture was evenly distributed across all clans in Ebira land, with five beneficiaries per clan, ensuring inclusivity and fairness.

The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including revered royal fathers and Hon. Alloycious Okino from Ajaokuta, who commended the initiative as a shining example of leadership that transcends boundaries. Beneficiaries and attendees alike poured encomiums on Hon. Abdulhameed Salawu for his continued humanitarian gestures, lauding him as a rare leader whose compassion knows no borders.

Despite not holding office in Kogi State, Hon. Salawu’s commitment to empowering the less privileged remains evident. His efforts serve as a reminder that true leadership is measured not by position or geography, but by impact, empathy, and the genuine desire to see others thrive.

Through this act, Dullar has not only strengthened the bond between Lagos and Kogi but has also reignited hope among the people, proving once again that service to humanity is the greatest form of leadership.
